To be a maintainer is to commit to keeping binaries for a particular software package up to date, for both solaris sparc and x86. You agree that you intend to maintain it in a professional manner, and respond to bug reports about packaging in a reasonably timely fashion. You also agree to keep your packages in line with the common standards
In case you're wondering what being a CSW package maintainer is like, you may get a small glimpse into what is involved, by glancing at the maintainer mailing list archives. Please note that this is a read-only glimpse: the mailing list is only open to current package maintainers.
Please input your email address (your 'real' one, that you use all the time, not a 'special' account) , and which packages you would like to maintain. You will get a reply back with more details on how to get an account on the public boxes. At this time, we'd prefer that people be willing to maintain more than one package. Once you get the hang of it, maintaining an average package is easy! It takes only a few minutes to build an updated one. We have a list of requested packages if you are not sure what other software might interest you.
Note that a "name based" login, requested below, means;
